The Scale Of Self-Perception

I believe there is a scale that exists. One that only has positives and negatives to an infinite value. Neutrality does not exist.

One either harbours a certain level of self-reproach or exists on the opposite side of the scale, where one would then harbour a certain level of self-righteousness. One can never be neutral as there exists no neutral markers.

One's position on that scale does not remain the same over their lifetime. Some are afforded the eye-opening opportunity to experience both extremes. Each end of the scale has lessons to be learnt and new perspective-shifting ideas. Ideas that widen one's capability to understand the human experience, from other people apart from themselves.

And some remain within the same margin over the duration of their lifetime, not as many lessons are learnt here. Opinions and thoughts from such people tend to be one-sided, people are rendered unable to see the bigger picture or any picture outside their bounds of experiences.

We are all subject to that scale,

The acceptance of the existence of this scale might lead to a blissful nature.
